DINNE VAN DER VLIS
My name is Dinne van der Vlis and by profession I am a TV director. I put the stories of your life videos together and use my 23 years’ work experience in Dutch television to good effect. In the course of my career, I directed hundreds of reports for different TV channels in the Netherlands. My experience ranges from working for public networks, on the commercial circuit and in the production of video installations. My favourite topic is crafting video portraits. I am very people-oriented and keenly interested in people’s personal stories. People soon realise that I am a good and genuine listener; they invariably open up to tell me their real story. By (co)operating with respect, time and commitment, I can touch all the right spots. I know from long experience what best to choose from photos, movies and other material available. I am able to judge which parts of the interviews in a story of your life will have the greatest impact. On that basis a very personal and telling video portrait comes to the fore.
